D&D Gunshop, 363 E. Elmwood, 5/14-5/15, 2000-0700 hrs.
Garage door pried open at rear of property and three lawnmowers, an outboard motor, and torpedo heater stolen. A storage trailer was opened, as well, and six chainsaws were stolen. A toolbox located on another trailer was opened, however nothing stolen. 08-16920

Three nonsufficient funds checks reports and one no account check reports were taken.
Domestics/Family Troubles:
Troy Officers responded to one incident involving a family trouble/domestic dispute where investigation revealed no assaults or other crimes occurred, therefore no formal enforcement action was taken.

Drunk/Intoxicated Driving Incidents of Interest:
Big Beaver near John R, 5/15, 0216 hrs.
Officer W/B on Big Beaver W/O Dequindre, which is a divided highway, noticed the headlights of a vehicle going east in the westbound lanes coming at him. Other westbound traffic was taking evasive maneuvers to avoid the vehicle. When the officer activated his emergency equipment, the ’96 Toyota Celica maneuvered over to the eastbound lanes via a median turn around lane and proceeded east. The officer caught up and the vehicle pulled over into a parking lot. The 27 year old male driver from Troy smelled strongly of intoxicants. He stated he had three beers. He claimed he did not know why he was being stopped. He just smiled when advised he was driving on the wrong side of the road. His speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet. He did not cooperate with sobriety tests and was arrested. He blew .21 on a breath test.

Embezzlements:
Target, 5/4-5/15
LPO reported a 19 year old cashier from Sterling Hgts. had been ringing up and voiding items of merchandise over the past two weeks and then passing the unpaid merchandise to another person, who then left the store with the merchandise. The person to whom he was passing the merchandise turned out to be a female employee from another Target store. Additional investigation revealed the 19 year old also stole an MP3 player valued at $179.99 for himself. Total merchandise voided and passed to second suspect: $1704.88 The suspect admitted the embezzlement. He was identified and released pending prosecution. 08-16970
