Public Invited to Discuss Museum Expansion
From Troy’s Community Affairs Department…
Residents are invited to an opportunity to meet with architects and site planners from Hopkins Burns Design Studios and JJR, who are developing the new site plan for the expanded Troy Museum. This event, entitled “Greening the Village Green,” will be held on Wednesday, May 28, from 6-8 pm in the Old Troy Church.
Discussion will revolve around LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) technologies that can be utilized during the museum expansion to create a more sustainable, energy efficient facility. Many of these technologies can also be utilized in businesses and homes in order to create an environmentally-friendly existence that future generations will be able to enjoy as well.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is recommended. Please call 248.524.3570 to reserve your spot. The Troy Museum is located at 60 W. Wattles Rd. (NW corner of Wattles and Livernois). For more information, call Loraine Campbell at 248.524.3301.

This is nice that the house was
donated, but I think it is better
for their family to sell the land
without the house on it. If it
were a smaller house, I would like
it a lot more, but the museum has
one big house now and the money
could have gone to buy a barn instead.
