Salute Our Veterans at the 2008 Troy Memorial Day Observance
From Troy’s Community Affairs Department…
Take a few moments to honor and remember all the men and women who served our country, and are currently serving around the world. The City of Troy hosts its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26 at 11 am at Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of Troy City Hall (500 W. Big Beaver Road).
Join others to honor veterans with memorializing speeches, music and reflection. Dr. Paul Rogers, Executive Director of Research at the Tank Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center, will be the keynote speaker.
The ceremony will also include the dedication of new veteran memorial bricks and the laying of a Memorial Wreath. It concludes with the raising of colors, a moment of silence and the benediction.
The public is welcome to attend. The ceremony will last approximately one hour. For more information, contact the Community Affairs Department at 248.524.1147.

Hi Dave,
Nice to see the Veteran’s Memorial event being promoted. I’m a member of the Heritage Concert Band that will be playing (as we do every year) and we feel it’s an important event.
thanks!
