Altercations/Disorderly Conduct:

Group Home, Beach Rd., 5/12, 1036 hrs.
Officers responded to a report that a 29 year old male resident punched a care taker and then sprayed the caretaker in the face with furniture polish when he learned two investigators from the FD were there to question him about fires he was suspected of setting on the premises.  He also turned over some furniture and punched a hole in a wall.  He walked out of the home prior to officers’ arrival, however he was located several houses away and arrested.   08-16529

An 84 year old male complainant from Troy reported receiving a call from someone with a Scottish accent claiming to represent a prescription payment company needing his bank account information to make a deposit into it.  Complainant stated he was aware his former employer recently began providing prescription coverage and assumed this was related so gave the caller his account information.  He later learned $347.50 was fraudulently transferred out of his account.  08-16549

A 22 year old male complainant from Troy stated he paid $250.50 for a limited edition iPod box in an on-line auction.  When the package arrived from the shipper, it was filled with newspaper; no iPod box.  When he re-contacted the seller, he stated the seller told him he was not willing to accept his word, he was on his own, and later threatened him.  08-16542

Rochester Road and South Boulevard, 5/12, 1905 hrs.
Plain clothes officer observed a vehicle occupied by three subjects N/B on Rochester near Square Lake.  The rear passenger and driver were passing a pipe back and forth smoking it.  The vehicle was stopped and a baggie of marijuana was recovered from the 22 year old female back seat passenger from Clinton Twp. She was cited and released for possession of marijuana.  A marijuana pipe with burned marijuana residue was confiscated from the 19 year old driver from Clinton Twp. for which she was cited and released.  No violations witnessed regarding the 21 year old male from seat passenger from Orange Park, FL.  08-16581

Kirts, 5/12, 0645-0845 hrs.
Apartment door pried to gain entry.  Debit card stolen and used to make fraudulent purchases at two stores in other jurisdictions.  In addition, a laptop, camera, camcorder, DVD’s, Playstation console and Playstation games were stolen.  08-16561   

Larcenies:

McCormick and Schmick’s, 2850 Coolidge, 5/12, 2315 hrs.
Complainant reported observing a Ford Escort backed up with its rear hatch and doors open by the returnables’ shed.  A male subject was outside the car.  Complainant stated he checked the shed earlier and knew it was locked and closed.  When he went outside, he found the lock broken and the shed open.  No returnables had as yet been transferred from the shed to the car.  When complainant informed the subject the police were called, the subject got into the car and fled the area.  The plate came back on a ’97 Ford Escort registered to a 57 year old male from Warren.  A Troy officer monitoring E/B 14 Mile near I-75 located the suspect vehicle and with the assistance of other officers stopped it.  The 57 year old male driver/lone occupant from Warren showed signs of being drunk, refused to participate in physical sobriety tests, refused to take a PBT, and was arrested for drunk driving and the attempted larceny.  In the jail he refused to take a breath test, so a search warrant for his blood was obtained.  He has seven prior convictions for drunk driving out of Michigan and one out of Ohio.  Felony drunk driving charges are pending toxicology results.  08-16609

Complainant ordered a watch via E-bay and it was scheduled for delivery by U.S. Mail, however she never received it.  The Post Office confirmed it was delivered to her home mailbox on 5/5.  08-16570

DEB Store, Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile, 5/9, 1930 hrs.
Complainant reported leaving her purse in the fitting room; when she went back, she discovered her wallet missing from it.  08-16566

Lifetime Fitness, 4700 Investment, 5/12, 1700-1830 hrs.
Car keys, $100.00 in cash, driver’s license, and credit card stolen from unlocked locker.  08-16584

Arby’s, 2925 E. Long Lake, 5/12, 0015-0800 hrs.
Piece of concrete thrown against front window breaking the outer pane of glass and damaging the inner pane.  08-16510
