I live in Lake Fenton ,Mi. , and we have coyote's in the wooded area behind our house. Unfortunately I have never gotten the chance to see any, but the neighbor kids have as their property has more wooded areas. On many occasions we have heard them "howling at the moon" over the years! I'm a true nature lover and think it is a treat to be able to listen to their music in the wee hours of the morning. In fact, one evening just recently, after coming home from work late at night,I heard what I thought was a pack of dogs barking behind my neighbors house. I thought this was unusual because I rarely have seen any stray dogs in our area, let alone a pack. When they started howling it dawned on me what they were and decided it would be a good idea if I got out of the driveway and went into the house! Needless to say, I enjoyed listening to them from the safety of my home. Hope you enjoyed my story and I am also interested in any cougar sightings in Michigan.

Just saw a Coyote this morning, 2/4/2010, at the edge of our backyard. Our Jack Russell was barking at him about 10 yards away and the Coyote did not move, just starred at our dog. I scared the Coyote away by making loud noises and he ran back into the woods. The woods is on the East side of I-75 between Wattles & Long Lake.

I just saw a coyote about 8 feet from my house outside a bedroom window. We live next to the Sacred Heart woods and there seems to be a den there.

There is also a Coyote that lives or lived in the rouge river drain area off Northfield Parkway between Long Lake & Coolidge (NFP curves). I saw him twice in 2 days in early fall of 2007.
