Troy Master Plan Update — April 2, 2008
Under Michigan law, the Troy City Council can adopt a resolution to assert its right to approve or reject a proposed Master Plan. I’m not sure if the current City Council plans to pass such a resolution. Without such a resolution, the new Master Plan can be adopted solely by action of the Planning Commission.
Meanwhile, at its March 25th meeting, the Troy Planning Commission continued its work on the new Master Plan. According to the minutes from that meeting, the Planning Commission discussed:
- Process for review and approval of the Master Plan.
- Public comment generated at the Public Input Workshop.
- Public comment provided after the Public Input Workshop.
The Planning Commission will continue to gather public input and consider all comments at one time following the public review period for the Master Plan.
