A 33 year old male complainant from Detroit came to the station to report he is a contracted employee assigned to a business wherein he alleges he slid his feet under his desk and apparently into an adjoining cubicle. He claims the female in that cubicle advised him to keep his feet to his side of the wall and kicked his foot twice. 08-10204

Complainant came to the station on 10/21/07 to report her vehicle was struck from behind by the female driver of a ’97 gold Ford. They exchanged information and went their separate ways. Complainant wrote the responsible driver’s license plate information down as she drove off. The investigating officer determined the at fault driver provided complainant fictitious identifying information. He was eventually able to determine her true identity which is 33 year old female from Detroit. The complainant successfully picked her out of a photo line up. The investigating officer obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect for leaving the scene of a crash with out providing proper identification, driving on a suspended license, and failing to stop within an assured clear distance on 3/21/08. Credit, Check, Identity Theft, and other Fraud:
Complainant reported someone counterfeited a check using his account number for $157.95, as well as made an on-line payment for $481.89 using his account information. 08-10078
Complainant reported her purse was stolen in Bloomfield Twp. and someone proceeded to make two fraudulent purchases using her credit card at a store in Troy for approximately $400.00 in total.

Complainant reported someone attempted to open a fraudulent line of credit using his personal information in January. In February he received notices acknowledging unauthorized address change attempts on two of his credit accounts. There were also unauthorized purchases against his account for over $4000.00. 08-10074
Complainant reported receiving an overdraft notice from her bank. When she followed-up, she discovered 19 fraudulent transactions for approximately $2200.00 in total. 08-10312
Domestics/Family Troubles:
Troy Officers responded to four incidents involving family troubles/domestic disputes where investigation revealed no assaults or other crimes occurred, therefore no formal enforcement action was taken.
Drugs/Narcotics:
Drunk/Intoxicated Driving Incidents of Interest:
14 Mile and Stephenson, 3/22, 0325 hrs.
Officers responded to a report of a person slumped over the wheel of a silver SUV. Officers located a Chevy Equinox at the intersection with the 29 year old male driver from Royal Oak passed out. The car was running, in gear, and his foot was on the brake. Officers had difficulty awakening the driver, opened the door, and placed the car in park. Once he awoke, the officer asked the driver what was wrong. He responded he was drunk. He gave the officer’s flashlight a “high-five.” He smelled strongly of intoxicants and had to be assisted, as he was unsteady on his feet. He tried but was unable to perform sobriety tests due to his level of intoxication. He blew .22 on a PBT and was arrested. He refused to take a breath test, so a search warrant for his blood was obtained.

Aldi Foods, 2976 E. Big Beaver, 3/21, 0957 hrs.
A 53 year old female complainant from Warren reported she was approached while sitting in her car by a female subject who claimed she had locked her keys in her car and asked if she could use complainant’s cell phone to get help. As complainant pushed in the number the subject provided, the suspect reached into complainant’s open passenger side window and snatched her purse. Complainant yelled to a passerby in the lot that the suspect just stole her purse. The passerby followed the suspect vehicle, a green ’98 Ford Explorer, and provided the license plate information to Troy dispatch via cell phone. Responding officers located it near Sparta and Big Beaver. It was being driven by a male. The Explorer fled and escaped as they approached/attempted to stop it. Investigators identified the driver as a 27 year old male from Birmingham and the female that took the purse as a 27 year old from Port Huron. Madison Hgts. PD contacted Troy PD on 3/24 advising they located and stopped the suspect vehicle in the area of Concord and 14 Mile. The female was driving and was arrested. The male managed to escape on foot. 08-10293

Catalytic converter stolen from ’95 Buick LeSabre parked in lot behind the store. 08-10354
Macy’s, Oakland Mall, 500 W. 14 Mile, 3/22, 2045 hrs.
Complainant reported as she approached her Chevy Astro van in the lot after shopping, she noticed the dome light on and several males between 16 and 18 years old inside. As she got closer, they ran out the sliding side door and entered a white Pontiac Grand Prix which was last seen driving toward 14 Mile. Several CD’s and loose change were stolen; no sign of forced entry. 08-10350
Troy Lanes, 1950 E. Square Lake, 3/19, 1810-1920 hrs.
Three vehicles, a Chrysler 300, a Pontiac Torrent, and a Chevy Impala, parked in the lot had their respective door windows smashed out, interiors ransacked, but nothing taken. 08-9984
Malicious Destruction of Property:
Barton Way, 3/22, 0130 hrs. Dark colored pick up reportedly observed purposely driving across and damaging lawns in the sub. 08-10317
